Although the Auckland District Health Board is involved in
funding GP practices, it does not employ GPs. GPs in New
Zealand work under the umbrella of PHOs (Primary Health
Organisations).
There are a number of PHOs in the Auckland region, the largest
of which is ProCare which has several hundred GP members all over
Auckland. ProCare's website is http://www.procare.co.nz/ and
you can register your interest with them.
