Who can I talk to and where to next?
The training programme in Auckland is organised by the
Obstetrics and Gynaecology Vocational Training Committee with
representation from all hospitals across Auckland. This Committee
is committed to further improve the quality of teaching in
Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Auckland.
It is desirable for applicants to fit the following
criteria:
- those who have been accepted into the Integrated Training
Programme
- applicants familiar with medical practice the NZ Public Health
Service
- those holding general registration with the Medical Council of
New Zealand
- those with the Dip Obs & Med Gyn, or an equivalent O&G
qualification
In addition to the standard application process, applicants
must:
- complete the O&G Trainee Information Sheet and return it
with the application form.
- apply to the Secretary, RANZCOG, PO Box 1503, Wellington for an
application for entry into the training programme. Applicants must
be NZ Residents/citizens and must have general registration.
- contact Dr Derek Souter (NWH), Sarah Tout (MMH),
Mahesh Harilal (ACH) or Jenny Westgate (NSH) for further
information regarding the Integrated Training Programme.
Note: Applicants may be required to attend an
interview; this would be at the applicant's expense.
